How to improve low sperm count?
Low sperm count, the leading cause of male infertility, can be temporary or permanent. Low sperm count could be caused due to any of the following factors:-
* Old Age
* Worry
* Diseases
* Exertion
* Poor diet
* Grief and turbulences
While you should avoid vigorous training programmes, regular and moderate exercise helps you maintain a healthy body weight and gives you a healthier overall body.
Since infertility and life in general can be stressful, learn to relax. Stress is sometimes responsible for certain infertility issues such as hormonal problems.
Try having a healthy body weight as weight influences oestrogen and testosterone levels.
Avoid vigorous exercises, hot baths and saunas since they raise the body temperature and may cause changes in ovulation and reduced sperm count.
Heavy metal toxins may affect ovulation. A hair analysis can determine exposure.
A man's fertility begins to decrease after he is thirty so take this into consideration when planning about children.
Studies have shown that smoking, alcohol and drug abuse takes a serious toll on a man's sperm count. So, try avoiding or at least limiting these.
Malnutrition and nutrient deficiencies cause low sperm count. Deficiency of Vitamin C, Zinc, selenium etc can reduce sperm count. So, try having a diet rich in these nutrients.
Stay away from environmental hazards and toxins (such as pesticides, lead, paint, radiation, radioactive substances, mercury, benzene, boron and heavy metals).
