Rome existed from around 9th century having a great history of 2,800 years of existence. Rome was just a small village of Italy in 9th BC but grew up to a vast civilisation dominating the mediterranean region. At present, Rome is the seat of Roman Catholic Church and also the capital of Italy. Rome is considered as one of the most beautiful cities of the ancient world. It is also known as one of the global cities.


The arch of Gallienus was a gate in the Servian Wall and is one of the few monuments of ancient Rome from the third century. Gallienus was the 41st Emperor of the roman Empire and the gate is named so because of the emperor. In 1447, Two side gates of the arch of Gallienus were destroyed.


The Basillica of St. Lawrence was built outside the walls over the tomb of St. Lawrence. It is an ancient Basillica in Rome.



Pantheon is a building in Rome commissioned by Marcus Agripa as a temple to all gods of Rome. The Greek word Pantheon means "to every God".


The Basillica of Santa Maria in Rome. It is the most beautiful among the Roman churches. It was built in Middle ages.
